Recommended Designers and Consultants

Much of my work comes through personal recommendations of clients, friends, and fellow designers. And periodically I’m asked to suggest the right person for a service I don’t offer. I thought I’d put together a page of recommended designers and other consultants whom I’ve worked with and gotten to know.

Designers

One service I don’t offer is design. I can whip up some basic images and icons, but I don’t have the eyes of a true designer. Both of these designers do excellent work and are easily affordable:

Logos for Websites offers just that: banners, logos, and entrecards for your websites. Pete is quick, easy to work with, and has produced some lovely results. He designed the 125 x 125 graphic which I used for my previous consulting site and on which I’ve modeled the current 125 x 125. Check out the gallery for some examples of his work.

J’s Design Shop is run by “J” (also of Budgets are Sexy). He’s another person I’ve worked with and trust. His style is somewhat different from Pete’s, check out both to see which suits your site better. J also offers a few free “advertise here” graphics.

Other Consultants

Larry of Empty Cabin Media is an expert on editing the Thesis theme for Wordpress. BlogCrafted offers limited Thesis editing, but I recommend working with Larry if you’d like to make your Thesis-themed site unique. You can view samples of his work on his testimonials page.

Kelly of Pretty Your Blog will help you make decisions as to how to make your blog better: through design, editing or marketing. Her goal is to help you create a better first impression. You can contact her here.

I offer similar services, but I have more of an eye for usability and less for look and marketing. Pete has particular experience in creating properly-sized logos and background images for sites using Thesis.
