Site Usability Testing
Whether you’re running a blog, marketing a product, or simply managing an informative site, you need it to be usable. As the site’s designer, you aren’t able to see all the usability issues since you know exactly where everything is and how to find the information you want. That’s where usability testing comes in.
User Experience Testing
As a usability consultant, I’ve helped over 60 sites improve their interfaces, position their products, make important information easily accessible, change color schemes, remove clutter, and more. I’ve worked with corporate websites, e-stores (both of independent entrepreneurs and of several major corporations), educational sites, blogs, and social networking groups.
The basic usability test, costing $30, includes up to 3 simple tasks or questions and covers the necessary elements of site design as well as my overall impressions. Some sample tasks and questions would be “Search for ‘designer jewelry’ and attempt to purchase a piece. Did the checkout procedure make sense?” or “How easy is it to subscribe by e-mail?” If you’re not sure what to ask, we can plan the test together or I can simply test basic usability. We can also create something more in-depth if you have specific concerns about a more complicated part of your site.
I provide a full report of my experience on your site including its critical issues, minor issues, and best features.
